My Declaration of Independence

I keep hearing more about this stimulus package and the crap that is shoved into this sandwich of a bill. I keep hearing how our elected leaders refuse to listen to the people. I feel very much like our founding fathers during the thirteen years that led us to the American Revolutionary War. We keep asking them to stop treating like we are their servants instead of brothers and fellow citizens. With that in mind a few weeks ago I started working on this document posted below. It is tailored and stolen from our founding fathers, edit and updated for the 21st century. Discuss and enjoy!

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all people are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of property. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience has shown that men are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these fifty states and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present Congress, President and Supreme Court of the United States is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.–

They have refused to pass laws protecting the borders and citizens of the United States from immigrants and terrorist threats from all corners of globe.
They have obstructed the administration of justice to be given too all people equally regardless of political persuasion, class or celebrity status.
They have failed to protect the lives of those yet unborn in the United States and abroad by encouraging and funding a culture of death with tax payer money.
They have erected a multitude of offices and sent their officers to harass our citizens and prevent them from practicing their natural rights.
They have worked with other nations to make us subject their rules and denying our nation and its citizens its own sovereignty powers and natural rights among the nations and powers on the earth.
They consistently have spent money beyond the revenues provided to the state by its citizens and spent them on projects that do not promote the general welfare of all citizens.
They have attempted to subvert the first amendment rights of free speech, press and association through standard of balance and/or fairness.
They have used fear and intimidation in order to pass permanent legislation that does not promote the common good, the general welfare of all citizens or for the common defense of our nation and its citizens.
They have protected or added ill-conceived enumerated rights of criminals, immigrants, immoral deviants and other classes of while failing to protect the natural and civil rights of ordinary citizens of this nation.
They have overstepped their Constitutional bounds by enacting laws that are neither expressly permitted in the Constitution or that are necessary or proper to the execution of those powers, while ignoring and defeating laws are genuinely necessary and proper to the execution of the rights of U.S. citizens.
They have not allowed open and honest debate and conversation on vital and controversial legislative issues. Instead they have added them to bills in the dead of night to be passed for the good of the nation.
They have divided us by the means of divisive and partisan political parties, while vilifying each other through biased media outlets.
They have passed laws are that enforced on the citizens of this nation but not applied to themselves.
They have encourage the illegal immigration of peoples from all corners to be used as virtual slave within the industries of the U.S.
They have taken our from our property to distribute it to those who refuse to work, those failed, to solve the problems of nations all over the globe, and in opposition to the natural rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of property.–

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions, phone calls, emails and letters have been unanswered. A government, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our elected leaders. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by this government to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the God of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these states, solemnly publish and declare, That these States are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the U.S. Congress, its President and Supreme Court, and that all political connection between them and this government, is and ought to be totally altered — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of God’s Divine Providence, I mutually pledge to my fellow citizens my Life, our Fortune, and my sacred Honor.
